The Human Capital Analysis in Apparel Sectors - With Reference to Tirupur District

Abstract:

This research paper aims to evaluate the different elements and behavioural perspective of human capital in Tirupur District. The data used in the study are primary in natures which have been collected through the issue of structured questionnaire. A sample of 50 respondents has been selected through convenient sampling method. Simple percentage analysis and factors analysis are applied to analyze the data. The study observes that the nowadays public are living in a transition period of new age defined by global competition, rampant change, faster flow of information and communication, increasing business complexity and pervasive globalization. In the present environment, the vision of the government is to make the state a manufacturing hub of the country, along with adequate and sustainable existence of traditional industries. Human capital refers to the attributes of a population that, along with physical capital such as buildings, equipments and other tangible assets contribute to economic productivity.
